PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains what personal information Strong Body & Mind collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to enquiries made through it.

01

WHO WE ARE

Strong Body & Mind (the rebrand of One Motivation Gym) operates from Highland House, 27, 1 Halkett Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 4WJ. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

Questions about this policy, or any request about your data, can be sent through the contact page, or raised in person at reception. We aim to respond within one month, as the law requires.

02

WHAT WE COLLECT

  • Your name, email address and mobile number when you join the priority list.
  • Any optional message you send us.
  • Whether you have consented to marketing updates, and the date you confirmed your email address.
  • Basic technical and campaign information — the page you registered from, referring site and UTM campaign tags.
  • If you hold an account on this website: your profile details (name, display name, mobile number, a training goal, anything you write in the “about you” box) and a profile photo if you choose to upload one.
03

WHY WE USE IT

  • To respond to your enquiry and hold your place on the priority list.
  • To send you club updates and Founder Membership information where you have consented (consent, which you may withdraw at any time).
  • To operate and improve the website and understand which campaigns bring people to us (legitimate interests). Analytics only run if you accept them in the cookie banner.
  • To provide your account and profile on this website, and to send only the notifications you have switched on (contract and consent).
04

EMAIL CONFIRMATION

We use double opt-in. After registering, you receive one email asking you to confirm your address. We only add you to club updates once that link is clicked. If you never confirm, your record is treated as unverified and is deleted during routine clean-ups.

05

MEMBERSHIP AND CLUBRIGHT

Memberships, payments, bookings and member accounts are handled by our gym management provider, ClubRight. When you join or log in you are taken to ClubRight's secure platform and their privacy notice applies to the data you enter there. This website does not store payment details or member account passwords.

06

YOUR ACCOUNT AND PROFILE PHOTO

If you hold an account on this website, your profile is private. It is readable only by you and by authorised club staff who need it to help you — nobody else, and no other member, can see it.

A profile photo you upload is stored in private storage and shown through a short-lived link, not on a public address. You can replace or delete it at any time from your profile page; deleting it removes the file, it is not merely hidden.

07

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We never sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of processors to run the club and this website:

  • Website hosting and database — our cloud infrastructure provider.
  • Email delivery — for confirmation and club update emails.
  • Gym management — ClubRight, for memberships, payments, bookings and member accounts.
  • Google Maps — only if you choose to load the map on our contact or home page.

Each processor may store data outside Jersey. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the standard contractual clauses.

08

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Priority list registrations are kept until the club opens and for up to 24 months afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever is sooner. Registrations that are never confirmed are removed during routine clean-ups.

Website account profiles are kept while the account is open. Close the account and the profile, including any photo, is deleted.

09

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, object to processing based on legitimate interests, object to marketing, or withdraw consent at any time.

Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, and account holders can switch each notification off from their profile page. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner.

10

COOKIES

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. See our cookie policy for details and how to change your choice.

11

CHILDREN

This website is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 through it. Junior memberships are arranged at the club with a parent or guardian present.

12

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We update this policy when what we do with your data changes — for example when a new service goes live. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Material changes are communicated to anyone on our mailing list before they take effect.
