Straight answers on membership, prices, recovery, coaching and the opening date at Strong Body & Mind on Halkett Street, St Helier.
Strong Body & Mind is at Highland House, 27, 1 Halkett Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 4WJ — in the centre of St Helier, a minute from the markets, with parking at Sand Street and Minden Place.
Yes. Strong Body & Mind is the rebuild of One Motivation Gym at the same Halkett Street address. The community and the doors are the same; behind them the floors have been refinished, the equipment replaced and a dedicated recovery suite added.
Founder Membership is £65 per month with no joining fee, and that rate is held for as long as you stay a member. A £40 per month Transition membership runs during the refurbishment and converts to Founder at relaunch. Standard membership will be £85 per month once the Founder allocation closes.
Recovery+ is £15 per month and covers the sauna, the cold plunge and compression recovery boots in the dedicated recovery suite. Single recovery sessions are also available pay-as-you-go at £10.
Every machine in the club is brand new British-built Watson Gym Equipment — plate-loaded and selectorised kit, power racks, benches and a full dumbbell wall, laid out across a strength floor and a separate performance floor with climbers, bikes and treadmills.
Yes. Four in-house coaches work on the floor, covering strength and conditioning, fat loss and female strength, hypertrophy and powerlifting, and mobility and return-to-sport rehab. One-to-one sessions and block programming are both available.
The club is being refurbished now and the opening date is announced to the priority list first. Joining the list is free, takes under a minute and carries no payment or commitment.
Yes — coached small-group strength and conditioning classes. The timetable and every booking live in your member account, so availability is always accurate.
No. The coaching team works with complete beginners as well as experienced lifters, and induction covers how to use the floor safely. The club is built to be used properly, not to be intimidating.
Yes. A day pass is £15 and a weekly pass is £30. Junior and OAP memberships are £55 per month.
